This particular project was one in which the cabinetry was built specifically with appliances selected to be "panel" ready, meaning they accept a cabinet front in order to look built-in. The wine/beverage refrigerator is such an appliance as well as the two large drawers to the left which are refrigerator/freezer drawers. Yes, there are particular code and installation requirements for venting and so forth, but your contractor, cabinet maker and electrician all work together so that the installation will go smoothly. When selecting appliances, speak to the sales person and explain what your desire is for a built-in look or "panel-ready". They will direct you to the options you will have.
