Bathroom remodel

I'm working on remodeling my bathroom but the layout is inconvenient around the tub. The end closest to the door is 32 inches and the end closest to the window is 34 inches. The current way they cut the surround by the window and added paneling looks odd to me but I don't know of any other way to approach this or even what size surround to buy. Any advice?

you want to make your bathroom wider is that correct? what are the surroundings on each side, a closet or bedroom? attach a plan of everything around it.

No. I'm not making the bathroom wider. I'm just trying to figure out the surround since the dimensions are different. Especially by the window. It's cut weird and then has paneling under window. I don't know if I should remove paneling piece by tub and use surround or leave it.
