This depends upon your lighting needs. I'd mount 4- one at each end and two in the corner. Depends upon the size. If sconces are small and this seating area is large, I'd mount 5 to 6. Put them all on dimmers. You may need the light when accessing items under the bench seating.

First, make sure you can do what you want

Then make sure they are not going to be in a place that feels like a heat lamp over your head or a spotlight

Lastly, make sure the projection is shallow so they don't make people feel like they will bop their heads on them.

Are you putting a table here? adding seat cushions? Wall Decor?

Or 1 larger 1 on each bench side And yes dimmers

Just wanted to give you an update on what I did with the nook. Thanks for all your input.
