Thank you, @wdccruise. The trim seems awfully thick for the mounting brackets to be able to extend over them, but I will go to the condo and try again. I'll take a photo to show you.

Remember that you're going to bend the top brackets upwards or the side brackets outwards when you screw screws through them and into the countertop or cabinets, respectively, to hold the dishwasher in place.

You may not need the trim at all. I have an old Whirlpool refrigerator and the gaps between the sides of the refrigerator and the cabinet are very small, so small it's only visible when the door is open. The gap at the top is larger, but you only see that gap if you crouch down. However, the trim pieces may slightly reduce the dishwasher noise by plugging those gaps.

@wdccruise I’ve asked a plumber to install my toilet and finish off the dishwasher Saturday morning. I’ll keep you posted on what he ends up doing. I really appreciate your guidance on this.

Where's your DIY spirit? You could finish the dishwasher install and do the toilet too. For the latter you just need a wax ring and a connector for the water. Don't whimp out!

@wdccruise unfortunately, I did not have the strength to lift the toilet up the stairs to my second floor unit. I'm a weakling. :) The plumber and his assistant came to my rescue. We didn't end up using the trim at all for the dishwasher (it was such a tight fit and unnecessary). I am glad they showed up, because there were a couple of issues that needed to be corrected for my bathroom sink hookup. Hey, I tried my best!! Thanks for your encouragement!
