First you choose backspalsh after counter and why quartz at all. BTW I do not like the mix of real and fake stone and mosaics are really getting to be quite dated and BTW I can’t see the tile in your post.

I think you should wait to get the backsplash until after the counters are installed. Lighting in your own home is very different from a store/warehouse so the counters may look very different in your house than on a slab. Also, tile looks different in your house than in a store so I would definitely wait. You really need to see how the counters, cabinets and tile all work together in your actual space. That said, I don't mind quartz. I don't think granite or quartzite is for everyone. Some people don't like the movement of granite- it's too busy. I've worked with people who hate the veining of granite. I've worked with people who couldn't handle the "randomness" of granite and much preferred the consistency of the quartz. Too each their own. I would just suggest that you do some research on what quartz you are using because not every quartz is the same. For example, Cambria is a USA company. They are in MN. They own their own mines. Their material is 97% quartz. I've had it in my kitchen for 10 years and there's not a scratch or stain. It looks almost like it did when I installed it. However MSI doesn't list how much quartz is in their product and I know some of their "marble looking" materials do stain and scratch. Just my 2cents... good luck!
