Hi all! I’m new here but need some help with a home reno project we are doing. We’ve gutted an old house that was built in 1910. There are original hardwoods in the living area and we tore down a wall so now the kitchen/dining is open to the living area. My husband is opposed to hardwoods in the kitchen and I don’t like fake hardwood (LVT) look next to real wood. I’m looking for opinions on what type of flooring would look good next to the hardwoods. Preferably something that would contrast well and is still budget friendly the picture is the living area looking into the kitchen.
