I have some questions....will you have a TV? It looks like your living area/sleeping area is very small. Will you have a bed or a sleeping couch or what furniture in your sleeping/living area? Seems you might need a small table (not counter height) with two or four folding chairs in the corner next to the refrigerator. Extra chairs can be put away. if you need more storage get a low chest with drawers to put under the windows. Then a comfy easy chair with lamp/table to read and relax.

Agree, would add a long, narrow island and use that as seating.

I like the TV in corner, uses space and helps decrease reflections from windows.

Maybe consider floating a portion of your sectional, to help divide the living area from your bed space. It also provides views to TV & windows (vs. kitchen).

You could place a tall bookcase or room divider between sectional and bed to further separate the area.

I see how you need to position your bed horizontal to windows to allow space to easily access bathroom (<14" if placed vertically) and desk.

You still have space to add coffee table and drawer chests for storage next to TV and walls surrounding w/d. Space next to desk is a great space for floor lamp.
