there's really no even place to stop it. if you stop w/the even w/the other wall height, It's going to end 3/4 way up along the door. Although, that would be my second choice.

if you stop the tile even w/the hood underside, it will be off from the window and the other wall.

just do both walls, up to the ceiling. it will look great.

(I'd do shelves where the yellow line is, where the tile stops.

if you do the shelving, you can stop the tile below the top shelf ( not this pic) otherwise the tile looks unfinished if nothing else is on the wall.

Or, take the tile all the way over the door on the entire wall. I'd still do the shelves.

Or: tile the whole sink wall (stop at edge of lower counter) and only the area between the range and hood on the other wall.

We lined ours up with the hood/bottom of the top shelf. It’s a tough call with 17 ft ceilings!
