You don’t mention the style of the table. If it is modern, you can use a sleek fixture up to 60” (or half the size of your table). This light, from lampsplus is 54” wide.

A chandelier can be hung as low as 30” off table top; using this chart, you can see that measurements are using an 8’ ceiling. For every additional foot of ceiling height, you can add 3”. For your room, you can add 15”. That’s telling you that the chandelier can hang minimum 45” off the table. That seems high to me, but it’s a good starting point.

To your question: Look at some photos of pendants vs one fixture. I wouldn’t want a pendant that identified more as a kitchen light.
