Kohler Underscore 19" height vs. Duravit Architec 18" height - KIDS?

Hi,

I'm redoing my master bath and moving to a shower only, and my kids bath where we are adding a tub and am wondering if anyone with kids has either the Underscore or Architec and can provide reviews or a recommendation on way or the other. Also wondering if the kids have issues getting in and out? I'm more worried about my 8 year old, who is still under 4'. But then I think about the fact that they'll just keep growing. I'm going to try to see if they're available to see anywhere but would appreciate any reviews of either tub and any experience with children with tubs this height.

Hi, it's working great for us! But my kids were already a bit older. It would probably be fine with younger kids since you would be there to help them...

@AJCN yes. Planning a tub/shower combo. Kids typically take showers these days. And I would like to be able to use the tub from time to time. Also just saw the American Standard Studio as a possibility...

@susander I decided to go with the underscore but we're not starting construction for another month or so. So I dont know how its working out just yet.

Have you had any issues with the height of the tub and your child getting in and out? Thinking about the same tub, but was concerned about the height for my 7 yr old son who is a few inches over 4 ft. Also, my wife takes baths almost daily and is 5'1.

Hi. My son hadn’t had any issues. He’s about 51” at this point. I haven’t actually tried it out for a bath yet. One of these days I’ll find the time…

Hi, I know this is very late, but how did the Underscore end up working for kids? We’re considering it now, with newborns, and hoping for something they can grow into.
