Start with the piano! Its your major "player" here. You may have to reconsider the rug idea in order to obtain the best sound from the piano. This may not even be the best room in the house for it.

Please take some pictures of the side of the room across from the window.

This is like getting pieces to a puzzle which don't really fit together. I don't see a way to add the Eames Chair and ottoman.

I think we need to see a floorplan for the entire space and pictures of the other parts of the room.

First thing I would change is the positioning of the orange sofa. - it doesn't feel right smashed into the corner.

My first inclination would be to place on the black sofas under the picture and the orange sofa against the window. The other black sofa may be across the room on the wall next to the french doors. Angle the Piano toward the window a bit and keep the Eames chair and ottoman close to where they are. Adjust one way or the other to balance it with the piano.

Can you move your piano to the corner between window and wall? So you could face room and have window view while playing. Then reconsider taking out either the lounge chair or one of those black sofas. Its way too much seating of different styles in such close quarters. Try the orange sofa placed with right arm against wall and back dividing room and your hallway where piano is currently.

@Jennifer Hogan - if the piano is cornered so the pianist can look out the window, the lid will open the wrong way and will throw the sound into the corner rather than out into the room. If turned so the pianist can look at the art, it could work, but I would try to incorporate as many of the tips from the above list on piano acoustics as possible.

Agree with decoenthusiaste, you should change the place of your piano. And I am not liking the orange sofa in the corner; you can place it under the art to center it. Placing the grey sofa against the window and adjusting the other one opposite to it may help!

Ha ha,on second thoughts i didn’t think from the piano stand point, my bad,, yep close to window would probably be bad on it. How about taking all of the seating out , center the piano at an angle at the back wall where the orange painting is, then use just 2 of your sofas in L , one across and another perpendicular see how it looks.. on a side note , i was trying to zoom in on your puzzle to find pieces 😂😂😂

Try the orange one under the art (lowered to 5" above it) and the gray ones in an "L" so you are making a big "U"

Your seating needs to form a square. For example, the orange sofa along the wall centered under the painting, the Eames chair facing it, one sofa under the window and one sofa facing it. Then you can rotate that square at any angle you like in the room.

How about orange couch in front of the window? Black couch centered under painting, with other couch facing it, Then chair at end of this black couch or in the corner between the orange couch and other black couch Piano stays where it is,. Add lamps and small tables and it will look good I think.
