My home was built in the 1950's and the front stoop that is exposed to the cold and elements, has a basement room underneath it. The problem with this is when it is very cold outside and warm in the basement, the ceiling in the basement develops moisture. Is there a good way to stop this from happening? Perhaps insulating the ceiling of the basement (under the stoop) with foam board somehow? I'm open to any suggestions.
