Started to install push latch on cabinet doors for the hidden cabinet under our peninsula. Well it won’t push it out far enough to open. We still have to reach at bottom of door to open it up. These are soft close doors. Any suggestions on the type of push latch for these doors? Or other hidden solutions?

The latch is OK. You need self-opening hinges to go with your push latch.
