You already have more than enough "lines" on the walls and ceiling. What is the climate? What is the substrate? I'd want a large format, porcelain and not less than 24 x 48 .........or be prepared for dizzy busy

I agree with Jan--use a porcelain that resembles slate--a dark floor would be a great foil for the light wood

I totally disagree I would do a laminate that looks like marble in white I have the one called Cararra Marmor from Kronotex . mine is 13 yrs old with 3 huge dogs on it a lot still looks like new

Porceilan in light or dark with matching grout, or the “no visible grout” installation. How about a smaller area rug with some color and texture in the seating area of the living room? It can be laid over existing carpet.
Add some oomph with pops of color and texture in your dining area as well to warm up the space. It doen’t have to be a lot but there is nothing to focus your eye on inthis space.

Sorry, but a white floor is not going to do anything for that room. It's so white now that it would benefit from a darker floor to ground it.

Agreed. Porcelain or concrete looking floors. Big tiles like huge ones. This room is BEAUTIFUL I absolutely LOVE it!! Really pretty!

I like the idea of a 'stone-look' product. I would NOT use anything 'yellow' in here. The wood on the ceiling is bleached so you already have wood-gray in the room. Yellow anything will clash like no-one's business.

I would love to see a slate coloured product in here. I don't care if it is real or vinyl or laminate.

Is that snow I see out the windows? How cold does this room get in the winter time? Is there in-floor radiant heat in there?

Hi, thanks for everyone's inputs so far. To respond to SJ's questions, it does snow sometimes around here I think it will get cold. No, it's not in-floor radiant heat.

To answer Jan's question, the climate is moderate/mild, and leaning towards humid, but quite dry in the winter. PNW climate
