Wow that looks awesome!! We plan on redoing ours as well at some point in time. If you don’t mind me asking-how much did it cost? And what height are your ceilings?

The ceiling height is 9 feet. The total cost was approximately $35-40K, but also included flooring for the entire downstairs, re-doing the staircase, adding baseboards, fireplace re-tiling, redoing a small powder room, misc painting, removing and replacing a few interior doors and a few other minor things. We did not purchase new appliances, though, so that helped keep the cost down.

Do you have before pictures of the rest of the house? And wow I feel
Like 35-40k is cheap for entire house. We redid our kitchen in our old home (I live in upstate NY so idk if that’s why) and it cost just about 35-40k I mean we reconfigured the entire thing and moved water and electric and knocked down walls so maybe that could be why too? 🤷🏼‍♀️

The flooring is "luxury vinyl plank" flooring. (I actually found it here on a Houzz post!) We have dogs & a pool, so it's a good choice. The countertops are quartz. We didn't change any walls or plumbing, so there was no expense there.

@rosewhalen is that luxury vinyl plank expensive?

No, not too expensive. I think it was less than $4/square foot, not including installation.

Did you do LVP on the stairs too?

Yes, I was wondering the same about the stairs too actually! I always wondered what they do on stairs when your using vinyl flooring

Yes, it's the same material on the stairs. I wanted the risers to be white, so they installed some sort of wood & painted it. The most difficult part for the contractor was doing the baseboard on the stairs. I had a pretty specific idea of how I wanted it to look, and they had to do a lot of adjustments to get it right. I'm pretty happy with the result, though.

I’d love to know your paint color? Beautiful remodel!!

Rose- what paint color did you use for your walls?? Love it!!!

The paint color is “Cotton Gray” by Behr.

How have the floor held up? Are they easy to keep clean? I’m going crazy trying to figure out which lvp to get and I love the look of yours. Thank You!

So far, so good! We have 2 dogs, and live next to open space, so there’s a fair amount of dust & dirt tracked in. The floors are doing great, just a dry “swiffer” a couple of times a week & wet mop every 2 weeks or so, and they’re looking great. They have a matte finish, and I think that’s easier to maintain than a shiny one.
