Replace it

I think if you want it all white you may need to replace it or cover it. It is funny- I have white painted brick and have been thinking of changing it to something more like what you have now! Go figure! lol

But seriously- one thing I will caution you with is that the white brick does show soot/ smoke marks when (if) you you burn real wood fires a lot. We have been using ours daily lately and I was just thinking it could use the magic eraser.

This is a good choice to update the look and get a stone surface that has the white you desire. As one person said above, you can always paint it and see if you like it and if you don't then replace it! If you like it you won't need to replace it.

What about a lime wash?

Your stone is absolutely gorgeous! Don’t paint it. I don’t think you need to change A thing!!

Well I thought I’d try painting it - I actually think I like the white!!
