I plan to install recessed lights for a small bedroom (10 x 10) with 8ft ceiling.

I would appreciate some advice on a few items related to this project

1. How should I go about figuring out how many recessed lights are needed, their placement and the beam widths to use?

2. Any things to watch out for when combining recessed lights with different beam widths. I am thinking of having narrow one top of the desk area and 2 wide.

3. 4in vs 6in. My current thinking is to get 75W equivalent LED (which seems to require 6inch) and use dimmer to adjust the brightness if needed. But Googling is recommending 4inch for 8ft ceilings

4. Which brand of recessed lights do you recommend
