Kitchen Design and Seating Question

Hello. This kitchen remodel planning has been a journey for sure. Please give feedback on the attached KD and suggestions for seating. This is a long post and I'm including as much details and pictures for hopefully a good visual. (Taking down the wall between the kitchen a dining room is NOT an option. Husband is against it and contractor advised against moving waste pip in there. Not to mention it would mean moving two heat vents to outside walls, and load bearing.)

That being said, the kitchen is a nice size and right next to the dining room. Here is the proposed layout and photos of the space now. We moved the old island back into the kitchen a few weeks ago as it's been used elsewhere in the home for storage prior to use buying the home. I'm finding even this small island very useful for prep and storage. The current island in the plan below is a modified island 23x44 (KD was using a bathroom vanity for the open look I wanted at the bottom). INSTEAD we will instead be using a regular closed island for more storage.

It's important for me to have at least a prep island for storage and prep space, but also have seating for four. We are a family of five and dinners together will be in the newly refreshed adjacent dining room. Prior posts on this kitchen suggested placing a breakfast bar on the pony wall. In the below the pony wall is the wall near the "circle" representing the possibility of a round table there. Our family room (with TV) and couch is on the other side of that pony wall. Pictures for reference. I haven't been able to figure out how to build this breakfast bar. The pony wall is in between table and counter height now, which we can change during the renovation. It would be necessary to us to have a lip or a ledge of sorts so that spills do not go onto the couch on the other side of the wall. The overhang above the pony wall will be removed. We also can not do a breakfast bar the entire length of the wall as that would make the walkway in there too narrow. Suggestions welcome. I want this to look intentionally designed with the kitchen not as something we made due with, if that makes sense.

I used PB design online program to "see" how a a breakfast bar may look in here space wise. Dimensions not completely accurate using this but close. It's an 18" over hang - see how using part of the wall versus the whole wall makes the flow better.
