Just Finished Quilt

Recently sold a quilt with similar center made many years ago (neighbor needed a baby gift). So out of boredom made another one. Everything from my stash.

A flange binding was my first choice (quicker and more accurate) but unfortunately I didn't have enough fabric left (backing is same fabric).

Instead, I piped it in the red/white zigzag fabric, bound it in the blue water droplet fabric, and hand sewed the binding down. There was a fair bit of sewing and resewing the binding to keep the piping width exactly consistent.

Why was this needed? Grrr, I managed to cut into the quilt 3/8" when trimming the edge. There went the narrow binding! So after some zigzagging this was the fix.

It turned out great - and a cute quilt for a child to have as they grow!
