I have glass and it's been great! I am very good at keeping it clean every night after I cook which certainly helps. On the rare occasion something does spill, I can scrub without the worry of scratching stainless.

In saying that, we are looking to replace it with induction probably this summer.

I have a 3 year old Frigidaire 4 burner cooktop. It is black enamel and has definitely scratched (especially the knobs). However, I find it the easiest cooktop to clean and I've had both gas and electric. I suggest reading reviews of the ones you're considering AJ Madison is a great company for appliances and they get a lot of buyer reviews that are helpful. Good luck! Keep us posted.

I ended up getting the GE Profile gas that I already had. I sold the home shortly after.
