Interior doors getting damaged

My house has all old hollow interior doors and in two rooms an entry door and closet door are both very close to the same corner and in both rooms the doors are damaged when they are hit by the other door, the drawing below shows the general idea.

I can't move the closet/door locations so I think I'm stuck with this, which is fine, but I'd like to avoid doors with holes in them.

Should I just go with solid wood doors for all doors in this situation? At least this way the doors will not be damaged? My house does get a bit humid so I'm worried about expansion of the wood.

Would solid core MDF doors be better?

Would hollow core MDF doors have the same issue as my hollow old wood doors and end up with holes in them? If possible I'd go hollow for the closet doors and solid for the entry doors.
