Your 2 windows on the front left are not even, so I would add a flower box under the higher one to balance out. On the upper right windows, with windows only on one side, can you add another set of windows to balance?

I would LOVE to add another window on upper right, but unfortunately that is where my shower is :( I was thinking of putting something up in that spot, perhaps a large grapevine wreath?

I love your idea of putting a front porch out front & the pergola...what are your thoughts of a cupola on the left side to add some charm-character?

I love cupola's and your house is a good setting. Make sure you get a nice whimsical weather vane to perch on top;) I have so many ideas with your house.... so much fun and how great it is that you are keeping me busy this morning with all these thoughts, oh, I just thought of more, I'll be back;)

Do you have siding or shingles? I can't tell by the photo, but think this color would look good. You are in such a natural setting. I am just rattling away, so disregard anything that you are not interested in LOL

I like Margo's ideas very much. I think a nice soft sage paint would better complement the bucolic landscape around the house and would make the house look like it's part of its surroundings.

The right front gable with one window needs to be balanced somehow. Perhaps a white barked birch could be planted on the windowless side. It is a fairly narrow tree that could have the lower limbs removed so there is just the white trunk next to the lower window, with the foliage shrouding the windowless area. It's deciduous, however, so in the winter you would just the bare trunk and branches. I don't know what zone you're in, but a pineapple guava tree is evergreen and can be kept pruned to a small size that would cover the windowless side, but not overwhelm the house.

I am in zone 5, I will definitely check that out & YES weathervane on the cupola :-D I have cedar shingles that are painted grey (obviously;) I was thinking of painting the house another neutral color...perhaps something in the olive green/grey category & painting the front door black?

I agree with other replies that you need to get focus towards your front door, as the large bay window that is low gives unbalanced appearance.
