Thank you for the comments and feedback! Marilyn is right, there is a downdraft vent at the back of the cooktop, which eliminates the need for a bulky hood above. The countertop for the island is Taupe White granite, and the perimeter countertop is Cambria Torquay quartz. The cooktop and downdraft are from Thermador. The light fixtures are from Matteo lighting.
