Bamboo sheets are made out of viscose which is derived from bamboo fibers. You won't necessarily notice a difference in how these feel compared to other, traditional sheets. I don't see any reason to doubt that you were sold bamboo sheets. But if you were expecting them to be like, say, high thread count Egyptian cotton you may be disappointed.
