I wish I had given those two choices to my children. Sometimes I feel like a short order cook.

Eenie Weenie is so cute. I love the little ones. We grow El Desperado too.

Elderberry Wine is one of our new intros. It's a mid-late bloomer with excellent stats.

Eggplant Luminosity is beautiful, but it's taken its sweet time getting established. In its defense, it is one the side of the bed that gets more shade. We took down the tree nearest the bed (it was dying) so this season it will have no excuse.

Electric Snake was new last season. It is one of the few true spiders in the garden.

Ella Bella was a bonus a few years ago. It consistently is double.

Empire of Dawn and Dusk is one of our favorites. We love the near white background and it seems to be a clarifier of color. We are getting some beautiful colors out of it. It's a good grower too.

Entering Warp Speed has an interesting pattern.

Evermore Greatful is quite a large flower.

We have some seedlings from Explosion in the Paint Factory that should bloom this summer. I hope they are striped.

Eyelash Viper is in a weedy overgrown section of the garden and hasn't had a chance to show what it can do. It has some giant daylilies around it.

Eyes are Mosaics is another one in a bad spot.

Eyes of a Child was in a bed that was encroached upon by a pine tree and lilac bushes. We move it and it did very well. It is a small-flowered tet on a pretty tall (for a small one) scape.

Sherry - El Desperado is a great one that has stood the test of time.

Hoosier Nan - Empire of Dusk and Dawn always looks so great in your garden that I added it last year, but it did not bloom. I'm looking forward to seeing its first flowers this year, along with flowers on three other Derrow I bought last year. Eyelash Viper and Eggplant Luminosity also caught my eye.

One of the first daylilies I grew was Eenie Weenie. I had it for many many years. Your picture Sherry shows what a bright sunny yellow it is. So cute in a pot in the middle of the patio table............Eyelash Viper is such a pretty lavender. I seem to be in a lavender mood this year. Your seedling is a nice one too.................Maryl

Most of my E's are pink, but I do have a few that are other colors.

Edge of Your Seat - Over the years this one has been an excellent bloomer, rebloomer and multiplier. It must be in too much shade now, since it has lower bud count and doesn't rebloom.

Elegant Expressions is still at just two fans after three years. The blooms are gorgeous though, and it's a great pod setter.

Elizabeth Hewitt was a new one. Unfortunately I only saw a couple of flowers before deer ate all the buds.

Empire of Desire is one of my favorite yellows.

Endless Beauty is a bonus I got a couple of years ago from Floyd Cove. It is a sib of Dancing Flamingo. The flower is smaller but the edge is more ornate. It's often a bit splotchy. I much prefer Dancing Flamingo.

Emerald Glow is one I have on the move-out list. It's a good plant, but it's not valuable to me for hybridizing. It was sent as a bonus a couple of years ago.

English Lavender has gorgeous color.

Euphonic is one of my favorite oranges.

Entwined in the Vine is alway a joy.

Debra: You know how I love your English Lavender. I keep thinking it will disappear on you because you said it was such a poor grower, but no, there she is again. I'm happy to see her... I am really struck by Everything you Desire. That deep rose pink color really stands out. Any take on it's sun resistance? Eye on a String is nice too for a UF. Like the pattern and the colors..................Maryl

Maryl - Everything You Desire has heavy substance and pretty good sun tolerance. It does get shade by 3 p.m. here. I've discovered the Junebug grubs are English Lavender's problem. And it has too much hydridizing value to move out. Last year, even though it didn't multiply, it had a much better bud count and set several pods with pollen from a couple of my seedlings. I still wouldn't think it would overwinter in a pot though. Eye on a String is a good performer - for someone without grubs. It's getting too much shade from my burning bushes now, so it needs a new place next year. In optimum sun, it has lots of buds and reblooms.

Debra, I was glad to see Entwined in the Vine posted today, a lovely clump shot. How long has yours been in the garden? I added it last spring hope to see a few blooms this season.

Well, I just put up a post and it disappeared. No words that should trip them in the title. I will wait and redo it again tomorrow f Houzz doesn't make it suddenly appear again. I was so pleased to finally manage on the first day, and there it went! I hate Houzz's methods.

Sherry - My Entwined in the Vine has been here maybe six years. I have a clump growing in part shade and a clump growing in full sun. The full sun plant has increased rapidly.

kay - I've had a hard time posting this week too. I don't know why Houzz makes it this hard. I hope you get your photos on tomorrow. I used to only have trouble from 11 until 1. Now anytime a day can be a problem.

We love English Lavender but we couldn't grow it here. Euphoric and Exotic Orchid are two others that caught my eye.

I have been trying since morning to post my last picture. Let's see if it works this time.

Extreme Tangerine is one of our 2021 intros. It is Horns X Sea of Cinders. Sea of Cinders is one of our favorites but it's only marginally hardy here. Its offspring seems to have the hardiness of Horns.

Kay, I think it's Exotic Starfish. Elderberry Wine looks interesting. What are the stats?

El Shaddai --pretty good height, and I like the edge.

Elizabeth Trotter --unusual crowded scape. Blooms well. A large flower about 30 inches tall.

Elizabeth Peacock. Rich color, though I wish it were a bit larger.

Existential Avatar. Still under evaluation.

Embryonic Journey

Ethel Buccola had shorter scapes this past year, but that has not been typical. (May freezes.)

Echo Echo looks promising.

The old Elegant Candy. Floriferous.

Mantis, Elderberry Wine has a 6 inch bloom. It has 32 inch tall scapes with 4 way branching and an average of 24 buds. It does rebloom for us. It is a mid-late semi-evergreen.

Ethyl Buccola: This is a nice plant and the blooms are perfect everyday.

ELLISON diploid seedling. I love the ruffles on this one. I also like the peach polychrome color. The only draw back is it is short. A definite front of the border plant. I may still introduce it. I have crossed it with taller plants.

Mantis and kay - Exotic Starfish is so striking! Every time I see it, I think I should add it. Does it multiply well of you? I wish I knew if it set seed well.

Debra, mine has increased from 2 to 7 fans in two years, so I am quite happy with it. It reblooms here, and in fact it rebloomed twice last year. Mine is in the ground.

David - That ruffly Ellison seedling is very pretty! I like Evening Eyeshadow and Enchanting Esmerelda too.

Extreme Tangerine has a nice ring to it. I don't see height mentioned in the NGA database. It certainly has plenty of teeth.

I find that if you add, then edit, then edit, etc., you can post a string of items. Less disconnected than separate posts. Exotic Starfish seems to multiply well, though fans are not large, which is typical of many dips. I think it may also have a lower percentage of scapes to fans.

Mantis, Extreme Tangerine is 38 inches tall with 3 branches and 20 buds. The flower is 6 inches. Bob came up with the name.

Hoosier Nan - I like the name Extreme Tangerine. It has a great edge!
