Your problem is the table has no finish and the oil has soaked into the wood.
You can try rubbing the spot with cornstarch....then vacuuming up the cornstarch ( don't use water!) and if it helps at all repeat until it's gone. I got grease our of suede pants that way once.

Ditto to what Linda said, after you get the stain out I would consider putting a finish on the table, since it doesn't have one you'll have more problems with it getting stained.

Thank you so much! I will try that! if that doesn't work, I had read of others trying a baking soda and water mixture and leaving overnight. Do you think that would cause further stains?

Yep....that will cause a bigger stain.
