If there was a photo, it didn't attach to the message. Wait for it to look fully saturated instead of ghostly before hitting submit on the message.

If you're just working with standard cuttings, they'll usually root just by putting them into a sandy mix (I use 1/2 sand, 1/4 Miracle Gro Moisture Control potting soil, and 1/4 tiny pebbles). Winter really isn't the proper time to root them, but it's worth a try.

After letting sit for a day or two to seal cuttings, place them at least 3/4" down into the soil, more if you can, and keep the mix damp to moist until growth resumes at the tip.

If you have rooting hormone, you can dip the cutting in it before planting as well.
