Pantry Redo - ELFA or something else?

My pantry shelves are starting to sag, and pull away from the walls.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to make it function.

I have wanted to add 3 more rows above the top shelves since we moved (2.5 years ago) but never got around to it (pregnant and now she is 1).

Overall the size is good, and I know if I had more upper shelves I could spread things out a little more.

1. I cook all 3 meals at home, every day. (long before covid)

2. I typically do 1x a month shopping for shelf stable, and 1x a week for perishables( not much from weekly trip is stored in pantry. )

3. Personal and religious convictions means we keep a substantial amount of food on hand and have enough to supplement my parents and grandparents who live around the corner who have less space.

4. for efficiency, I hate move things to get to something else, I don't like to stack things.I have nesting bowls, and don't nest them, my tupperware is stored with lids on and stacked. I have plenty of room don't need to maximize space. Drawers are way more accessible, and as my daughter grows, I am sure we will have a few more grab and go type packaged snacks that I think the pull out drawers will be much better for her.

I found some great pull out can storage through elfa (hold 3 rows of 7 cans, total 21 per rack), and I also like their shallow drawers, so I reached out and had the container store design my space. Overall I think it's good, however, there is a lot of dead space.

Additionally, I found some FIFO can storage that I would like to buy (hold 3 rows of 14 cans

), which is 16" deep and 12" tall. I can use these for my canned staples that I keep on hand and rotate them. I'm think of the putting these on the bottom 2 racks on the wider wall.

Price for Elfa is 2300 professionally installed, 1700 DIY, as configured, however, I think I would add more of the pull out can racks (use for spices as well as one for hot sauces, and extracts. So, I think about $500 more realistically. They are currently having their 30% off sale, which is substantial.

I told the worker the amount of weight I needed to be able to support and she seemed to have no issue. before I rearranged, my heavy shelf was 84 lbs. On their drawings, she shows sotrage for about 150 lbs of cans.

For the record, the "pop out" is my water heater. I got a quote from a plumber to swap out with tankless, and because of the location, it would cost about 5k, not including moving the walls in the pantry, so that is out.
