Suggest siding & paint for 60s Colonial?

First, we think the house looks fine but we need to replace windows, siding & paint on our 60s colonial & might as well improve the look in regard to color, trim, materials etc .. No idea what works with this kind of house :). Any suggestions on siding materials, paint colors (without painting the brick) to make it look updated, clean & more balanced on that massive top right span of boards ...
