Much appreciated! Thankfully, those outrageous wind speeds are mostly along mountain tops and other unpopulated areas, but they can still cause problems! They aren't "pleasant" and one of the more frustrating aspects are the PG&E and Edison planned outages to prevent wild fires. Now there is a natural gas powered Generac at the side of the house, it may well be like earthquake insurance...once you have it, you never need it again.

My cousin lives in Ahwahnee -- near Yosemite. Near her, they clocked 110 mph. Here, we've had gusts from 50-70 mph, and it just keeps going.

190mph?! A cow could fly with that wind speed. Hopefully no property damages, no trees falling near houses, cars. Be prepared for power outages.

News reports that I came across indicated power would be cut to prevent fire risks as an added safeguard considering the winds.

Hopefully they calm and just enough gentle, soaking, prolonged rains will fall to replenish aquifers, lakes, and reservoirs.
