Taj Mahal quartzite with backsplash

When I was searching here for backsplash ideas to coordinate with taj mahal quartzite it looked like others had the same dilemma. I thought I’d share my choice. This tile is equipe La Riviera in wheat. It is a textured tile and it has 3 supple shade variations in each box of wheat. (We are obviously still working on the remodel walls and floor are next)

Not on topic but....LOVE the color of your cabinets. Would you mind sharing the stain color?

The stain was a custom mix to match the stain which was 18 years old. The cabinet refinisher didn’t tell me what colors he used. But basically it is a dark walnut.

You are going to love your quartzite.. I have a similar colour... it is invisible...so easy to care for.. so much easier than marble.

I love my Taj countertops and didn’t find it difficult to find a backsplash.

Mel - THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your backsplash choice. I have been dying to find pictures of it. I love your quartzite too. We picked Gray Lagoon Quartz and I'm looking for a backsplash to bring out the warm brown undertones and the Wheat tile might be it.

Alliecat my backsplash tile is from Palm Tile and it’s a matte gray elongated subway.

I am doing Seaport Hibiscus (Tile Bar) back splash with Taj Mahal. Two friends used this and it was beautiful. My cabinets are a mushroom color. Your kitchen looks great

Cynthia DeLay did you use Seaport Hibiscus in grey or white? Do you have any pictures, I'd love to see it.

I went a bit more daring with the backsplash for my Taj Mahal with white cabinets. It is a large kitchen and needed more than just a "white subway". The brown marble picks up the brown veins in the Taj Mahal and my brown stained wood floors and wood beams. The white marble is honed and the brown marble is polished. The white marble was also a good complement to my Chantilly Lace cabinets. It took me months to decide on the backsplash and I brought so many tiles and sample boards to the house to try out.
