I have attached (sorry for the poor lighting, currently in a slow piece by piece remodel) photos of my to be living room/family room/sitting space. Currently the giant room is (and was with the previous owner) part kitchen part sitting area. They used to have a fireplace along the far wall but it has since been remove. I can't install a fireplace there now, I also do not have gas at my residence, so if anyone was thinking fireplace, it would have to be electric (Do they even have that?)

I am standing in the kitchen for both of the photos, and as you can see I have just recently installed some BEAUTIFUL 4 panel sliding glass doors (a MAJOR improvement from the 3 small windows that were there) on the right wall. So those lovely doors pose a design dilemma them selves with how I place furniture. But I'm not that far yet. On the left wall is the entrance/access to the main hallway and the front door.

So...this is a blank canvas. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have also attached some photos I have found on houzz that got me thinking about making a bump out in the center section. A faux fireplace look really. Maybe use some candles like the inspiration photo does, and add some simple shelves on both sides. I have no idea where to put a TV, which I would love to be visible from the kitchen.
