Weird. Is moving the window out of the question? Or how about enclosing it in a walk in closet? But if you don’t want that much work, a changing table for now, a desk for later would work.

I agree, if you can move that window further into the room that would be ideal. You can then extend the closet.

Thanks for the ideas! I like the idea of it being multifunctional over time and it eventually becoming a desk or reading nook. I'll play around with that. I don't think we're willing to take on a renovation that would involve moving a window unfortunately!
