I’m always eagerly waiting for a new letter and the jokes!😀

Orange Marmalade is a beautiful hosta and it has very nice coloring even in quite deep shade. I actually bought another one because of this shade tolerance.

Olive Bailey Langdon is still very young

I never knew that about Solo cups... hope it’s true, and I’ll test it out later today. I love me some red solo cups!

On Stage has been struggling since 2017. I hope it’s in a happy place now.

    No photos of Old Glory.

Read about the solo cups in facebook (then fact checked it). Love the jokes I also look forward to the new letters so I can see the jokes.

Lol Paula! I had no idea about the solo cups.

Love all the On Stage and I am happy that Old Glory is coming in spring.

Laura your OBL looks very happy, I hope my Orange Marmalade does as well as yours.

Beth One Last Dance is fantastic.

sunnywood your Ocean Isle is looking good now. It may have been slow but mine never made it.

hosta_maker that seedling is lovely and Oil Paint is wonderful.

    Orange Marmalade freshly planted.

    Oze needs some TLC.

    I have 4 O hostas, I think.

Olive Branch, best picture is from 7/4/2019

    Obsession 3/29/2020

Orange Marmalade for next 3 pictures.

    5/2/2020

10/19/2020. Note that all of the original flush of leaves is looking tired, but the 2nd flush looks great (young plant, immature leaf form on 2nd flush).

    11/20/2020

Old Glory 6/27/2020. So, I accidentally avulsed the only pip in early spring as I rushed to protect the emerged and emerging hostas from late frosts alternating with hail storms. Old Glory created 2 new pips to replace the lost one, and looked like this all season. :)

Great looking O's, except for Old Glory mine seem to be slow to maturity.

Solo cups should print that on their packaging.

    Nice Orange Marmalades!

I didn't bother getting a pic of my Grow Dammit Grow, aka my On Stage this year.

Here is October Sky, which is a very nice blue and a good, steady grower so far.

    debra

    P.S. I have no Os

One Last Dance is reverting to Dancing Queen, yes?

    debra.....It's a Dancing Queen sport.

utog Olive Branch is a nice one.

old_dirt nice bunch of O's. I like Obsession and happy to see Orange Star. It gives me motivation to get mine planted!

sandyslopes love October Sky! LOL, variations of "Grow Dammit Grow" should be names for a few I can think of.

After two years in the ground Obscene Gesture is still getting established.

Obsession is a shiny beauty. Always looks wet, even when its not. Is it viridescent if it starts out green and then turns dark green?

    Ogon Tsushima

Ooh La La next to Ben Vernooij, Banana Boat and Rhino Hide

Olympic Gold Medal - very reactive to sunlight - on June 23rd.
Three weeks later in the middle of July - I need to get an early season pic this year.

One Last Dance - I bought two of these, I moved this one into more sun to try to retain that yellow edge longer.

On June 11, its already fading to green (and still lovely, I like the green on green too).

    Ooh La La reprise

I bought the one in the center as Outer Limits (a streaked Striptease).
Not sure I would call it that, but it is doing something different.

next to Obscene Gesture and Full Frontal.

and since I needed to add another post, here's my other One Last Dance on May 21.

Steve does Olympic gold medal start out blue and change to gold then bleach white?

That's what I was hoping for when I got the plant in 2019. I'm not sure I'd call it blue, but it does have a light wax earlier in the season. Mine gets direct sun from about 4:00 on, so I'm sure that affects it. This year I should have a better idea. Here it is on May 25th.

Good to know I better get one. It sounds like it has some genes that might be fun to play with. Maybe a tetraploid, maybe fertile. Hard to say.

These O hostas have been fun, quite pretty in a variety of ways. :)
