Design Dilemma Paint

paint color on ceiling??

We are making improvements at our lake house. All walls are wood (maybe hickory) . Kitchen cabinets are staying but improving lighting, fan, stainless appliances and dark leathered granite.
My go to ceiling color is White Dove in rooms with light walls. Will it work on this project?
Living room ceilings will also be painted. Hard to describe wood tones.

White Dove is never my go-to white. It can look dingy in the wrong light.

For your ceiling, I will suggest B.M. Simply White. It is a good, true, warm white, that should work with all the yellow tones in the wood.

I just read an article in The Spruce that recommended BM Chantilly Lace saying it tones down orange hues. Getting more confused by the minute!
I see what you mean with Simply White.
