That's strange. But the new growth looks good so maybe it was a one time thing.. Did yours look like that before that nasty bout of wind last week?

I just walked outside to look at mine (east bay here) and don't have anything like that (also you have new leaves while I have flowers. Hmmmm)

Hello Fori! Thank you for your reply! I love this plant and am hoping that it doesn’t have anything that will make the plant die. Someone else mentioned scales, do you think that might be the case? Also can I ask what potting soil you use for your jade? I am interested in repotting mine in healthier, more draining soil.

It looks like the spots are mostly scars/dents/holes? See if any are raised--If they are scales you can pop them off. I can't tell from the photo.

My jades are big old things that came with my house. They're in...um....dirt. :) They could be 70 years old--I have no idea how long they've been in place. I don't do anything to or for them.

Mice or rats or squirrels. Has it been dry in your area, I.e., little/no rain.

Mechanical damage, maybe caused by wildlife “eating for moisture”.

No insects, no critters and no disease:-) Your plant has oedema, which can be very common to succulents when exposed to a heavy rainfall. The roots just take up too much water for the leaves to release into the environment and you get some cell damage that presents as spots or dents or corky areas.

It couldn't possibly have been rain. Not here! :) We're only just now being reminded of such a thing.

But we've definitely had lots of reason to water deeply...

LOL!! The OP stated in the other duplicate thread that they have experienced recent rains. And it doesn't take much to produce these results if rainfall has been scarce previously and not a lot of irrigation happening.
