Itsy Bitsy half bath problem

Our home has a half bath with an uncomfortable small toilet area. We are doing some replumbing, plumber suggested moving fixtures but I do not see a way to make this to IRC and if we change it inspector will want it to code I’m assuming. We are willing to swap fixtures out but can’t do a wall hung. Is there help for our squished bathroom? We can’t afford to loose it as it’s the only toilet on the main floor of the home.

I think tiny powder rooms are all about the decor.

Like Patricia said, it is a toilet and sink.

You can do a modern narrow sink, possibly one with a little bit of storage or a pedestal sink.

With the pedestal sink you have to come up with some type of storage for a few rolls of toilet paper

This is a pretty room - tiny but functional.

Your room is a bit wider. My sister had a similarly sized powder room with the same sink/toilet orientation.

In the open corner between the sink and toilet she had got a dvd tower with a door that she covered in wall paper with birds and butterflies. It was the perfect size to hold one roll of toilet paper on each of the 4 shelves. (she used 3 for toilet paper and one for soap/hand sanitizer, wet wipes . . .)

Found something similar on google that is made for bathrooms vs DVDs.

I also loved this idea for a bit of extra storage

There are a lot of great ideas out there, but knowing the style of your home will dictate some of the solutions.

Can I see a pic of the space IMO a tiny room needs a one piece toilet quite low profile and moving toilets is an expensive item and honestly can’t see the advantage in this tiny space Maybe look at a sink that runs along the wall insted of sticking out 2’ Sort of like this for the sink.

please pardon the mess! We started the replumb already. Plumber offered to move the fixtures for free since we are already replumbing everything, so cost isn’t an issue for that. The toilet is a very tiny round toilet.

What are your local code requirements for toilet and sink spacing? Your house situation may be grandfathered in if it's quite old.

My cousin had a bath this size and used a full size toilet with a mini corner sink and a pocket door. It worked great. https://www.build.com/nameeks-8007-e/s1069359?uid=3013499 This sink is actually a bit deeper but you get the idea.

My lav cabinet is only 12" deep so it doesn't get in the way when using the adjacent toilet. The lav bowl extends 6" past the face of the cabinet so I'm not restricted in its use. (Found it at Lowes abt 10 yrs ago.)

we follow IRC 2015, which I think requires 15” center of toilet to wall or other fixture, and 15” center of sink to wall. This bathroom would be grandfathered in as long as we don’t move or change anything.
