I gave away my only Q last summer, Queen of the Seas. Hope to get a Quilting Bee this year.

Here’s my fur baby, Lucy. At 1 1/2, she’s a good girl, but not at all a “garden helper” yet!

Since we'll probably see a lot of Queen of the Seas (and many nicer than mine). Here's an early shot when she's still a frosty green.

I neglected to take photos in this bed, so here's a 2019 shot of Quilting Bee.

My only Q and I imagine we'll see a few of these. Miss Josephine from Canada and all her pictures and positive comments.

no Q's or fur babies unless squirrels count Lol..fun fur babies everyone 😃..

windymess..I'm sure you had your reasons but you gave away Queen of the Seas???..I would've taken it Lol..

Paula..the one eyed Bob photo made me cringe Lol..

Here's a couple of photos of a group of Queen of the Seas taken less than a minute apart at Fox's Hosta Farm. It shows what a difference the light angle can play on the color.

Fannie (so named because she came out butt first). She turned 19 last week.

Here’s my Queen of the Seas.

Here is one of my Fur babies, Zoe. Please say a prayer for her. She tore her ACL in her right leg a few days ago. When the vet took her X-ray she noticed a mass in her abdomen. She has a mass on her liver. Surgery for her liver is on Feb. 12. If all goes well she will have ACL repair at the end of February.

Paula that is quite the cat! The "frying up some fish" is hilarious!

This will be the 3rd time I have ordered Queen Josephine. I hope it arrives this year.

Too funny windymess, I gave mine (still in a pot) to a friend that fell in love with it. I had no where available to plant it. I am also curious why you gave yours away.

    Love all the fur babies!

Sherry I am sending prayers for adorable Zoe. The torn ACL could have been a blessing in disguise. It is good that the mass was detected before getting any larger. Sending hugs for you too.

Praying for Zoe, Sherry. My Fannie also needs prayer these days.

Tsuga, sending prayers for Fannie too, hope she stays happy and comfortable. Love her name 😉 I have another older fur baby with Cushings disease, keeping her comfortable, she’s a feisty 15.

Aww tj sending hugs and prayers for you and Fannie. She is getting to be a sweet old girl, I hope she has no specific issues.

No, nothing specific, just being 19 and a recent quick loss of mobility that she’s never had.

I only have one Q, Josephine. Purchased her for the sun bed I made. She had a rough start, with late frost and adapting to my yard so I can’t wait for mine to look like everyone else’s. I have to admit, I am laughing at those who gave away their Qs, because I wanted a Q for the ABCs.......hahaha.

I love all the fur babies......beth, love a black kitty! Windymess, Lucy is so cute but still a pup......steveduggins thanks for the contrasting shots of Queen of the Seas and of course the shot of Bo with his mom. Tj your Fannie is a sweet girl, praying for her.🙏🏽

sherrygirl, Zoe is a cutie and I agree with peren, that the acl tear perhaps has come at a good time. I will also be praying for her 🙏🏽.

peren, I have to laugh at Luke sleeping on the soft rocks.....my cats do the same, haha!

mbug, your two fur babies are awesome.... but I don’t see your chair in the corner....?

Shadow we were posting at the same time..... love the dogs lying in amongst the hostas. My cats do the same, but they usually not visible then. Next to QJ, is that a cat paw or tail?

Yes, Debra .Abby, she follows me everywhere. Oh my, you have 4 cats. They are so cute. I have another orange tabby as well. He is old and has a cataract in one eye. But he manages and still likes chasing squirrels .

Hope you are recovering and on the mend Debra.

LOVING all the hostas and fur buds

Queen Josephine was my only photogenic Q. QOTS is young, unrecognizable.
QJ bloomed from mid July to early August. I grow her in full sun to part-sun, zone 7b.

    Lazy battle for the sunlight.

Houzz ate my first post! Seven pics are too many? Anyhow, I'll break it up...

I didn't know if I would show this because I moved my Queen of the Seas to the outer limits of the yard and haven't got it cleaned up yet, but here goes....

Queen of the Seas fall of 2019 This was sooo HEAVY, but I got it done. It has T-Rex as its neighbor.

July 2020, seems to have made the transition.....

beth, our garden helpers look a lot alike.

steve, I've seen that in my own gardens, when I take pics only seconds apart, the light can make colors look so different.

Loving all the dogs and cats here! Sherry sending my prayers to Zoe. tsugajunkie, for Fannie, too.

Last year I was looking for a forever home for this black cat, then he showed up hurt one day. So after fixing him up at the vet, getting all his shots, getting him neutered (no more vicious fights) and microchipped, he is now Max, my indoor/outdoor garden buddy.

I wondered why I would sometimes find my hostas or daylilies smashed down and then one day I found out.....

He's having fun with his grab ahold and kick game so I don't mind.....

Kitty was another stray who now loves being a pampered house cat who enjoys sunning herself on the deck. She's a lovable cuddlebug.

Molly is still the curious one. She hears a bee buzzing inside of this squash blossom.

All the pets are adorable! Definitely prayers for Fannie and Zoe! I know how attached we all become to these helpers/family members.... still miss my first lab Susie and cat Rusty.

Why did I give away my QOTS? I’ve reached the point where I have to be choicy about the hostas because I’m running out of space, and especially space with some shade. I just didn’t know where I could plant another large blue right now (Elegans gets priority), and my friend has a huge yard with lots of mature trees and shade... and she loves hostas.

Actually, I’m struggling right now to keep from ordering too many plants for this season.
