Ikea Sinarp Cabinet Fronts

5 years ago

Has anyone seen these new cabinet fronts? All local Ikea stores (Bay Area) do not have them. They look great online. Just wondering if anyone has seen them in person and how they compare to other fronts. Just got a quote from Scherr's for unfinished Oak fronts.....but am really liking these cabinets.

    Can you order one good sized door to see if they really look that good?

    Hi

    Yes, I’ve seen them- they look nice. Very Japandi.

    I am also very interested in Sinarp (dark brown), but I haven't seen them on the floor in Maryland Ikeas yet. Would love to read reviews or observations if anyone has had a chance to work with them.

    These are being installed in my kitchen in two weeks! I'll try to remember to come back to post pics. We were going to do custom fronts, but liked these so much that we are only going custom with our white fronts. Here's a pic of a sinarp drawer front with samples of our hardware, white uppers and blue peninsula front.

    They look really good! Are you happy with them so far?

  • 4 years ago

    @Danielle Gottwig, Yes! Very happy so far. I will post pics of the entire kitchen once we get the final touches on... we have 3 different cabinet fronts, sinarp, white quarterline by semihandmade, and blue painted peninsula front. Of the 3, the sinarp get the most compliments and notice. Very happy with our decision.

    Hi, do you have an updated picture of ypur kitchen to share ?

    @Danielle Gottwig, @Tb, We are waiting on backsplash install so please excuse the roughness, but this definitely gives a good glimpse of the sinarp.

    @alcfoux what did you use for the pieces filling the gap between the ceiling and above the fridge? Did you use the deco strip and cup a cover panel? This looks so fantastic! We are currently trying to figure out what to do with weird gaps for a more finished look.

  • 4 years ago

    @kelsey scalaro All of the filler is cut cover panels. The deco strip for Sinarp has a slightly different look than the cabinet door finish. I didn't love that inconsistency, so we ditched it and used  cut cover panels for everything. Good luck!

    @alcfoux how did you configure that tall and base cabinet corner? Is it wall cabinet on top of a corner base cabinet or a base cabinet on top?

  • 4 years ago

    @Dina Waluyo There are a total of 3 base cabinets stacked in that corner. If I remember correctly, one of them needed to be cut down so the height would fit.

    @alcfoux thank you! Do you know if Sinarp works without handles?

  • 4 years ago

    @Dina Waluyo, Sinarp requires handles.

    What do you use for the top/white cabinets? I love the wrap-effect around the cabinet. Is that IKEA, as well?

    Since I used the comments and photos when choosing an Ikea kitchen for our 6.5' x 10' Chicago apartment, I wanted to share a few photos of our completed Sinarp project. This is an interior kitchen, but with under cabinet lights and light countertops, we have experienced no issues with 'darkness'. We are happy with product quality and overall warmth it provided.

    Love it! That all came together nicely.

    @Christie D Looks Wonderful!

    @Luciana Tiberio Our Uppers are IKEA boxes with @Semihandmade custom fronts - Sarah Sherman Samual Quarterline White.

    @alcfoux Yours did too. Thank you again for the inspiration.

    How are your Sinarp and Semihandmade cabinets holding up? Trying to decide if worth it. Love the look.

    @elksupplyco

    2 years and going strong! We don't have any signs of damage or wear and tear on either the sinarp of the semihandmade that I have noticed 😄 The Semihandmade feel heftier (in a good way) when opening/closing. Good luck with your decision!
