Window and Wall Ideas Please

Would like ideas on window coverings for this dining room and what to put on these massively high walls that won’t get lost.

Something big? High? Both walls? Just one?

How about counter-balancing the central opening with 2 LARGE artworks either side.

Just as in the inverse-mirror version here, the central chimney column is balanced by the two window openings either side,,,

Clever. The windows are the middle wall which is the low point and either side has massive blank walls which rise up 20’

It’s a super space for larger works.

I would go with nice not skimpy drapes

I’d keep the graphic quality of the wall and window openings and use in-window blinds.

And add softness and texture through furnishings, rugs, other textiles and accessories.

These photos don't do a very good job of explaining the total room space and adjacent areas.

Your windows are architectural elements of that room and if you can I would forgo installing any window coverings and leave them as is.

IMO the room needs a stellar, sculptural chandelier over the table and a coordinated pair of canvases to be placed on either side of the doorway

It doesn't look to me like you need to cover the windows for privacy, and if that is true, I would spend my money on the outside, things I'll be happy to look at all year. If you do need to cover the widows for privacy, I think I would consider one pull down shade that would mean creating a hardwood valance for it above the windows.

I would otherwise make the room very Zen, with as many natural elements as possible. I would match the beautiful plant with another one on the other side. I would go with a huge rattan pendant for lighting. I'd have a very simple clean line buffet. I quite like Japanese sensibility so I would put elements of that on the wall. It's the sort of room that I might paint a few overlapping squares and rectangles of pastel color on the wall, where the sunlight catches it during the day, just floating there.

But I'm not seeing the rest of your decor so can't really say.

Want to be clear that by saying i would create a wood valance above the 3 windows I meant I would position the valance higher than thw windows and make it an architectural element in its own right.

    I follow. Nice!

You have wood in your ceiling so that will be a big factor in what you do but just wanted to show rooms of color and light and plants that are fun
