In my opinion, I would get referrals from trusted neighbors, friends, family, accountant, etc. If people you know have good results, they will more likely give you a referral. Same for a plumber, lawyer, etc.

Thanks Elaine. I'm a first-time home owner and moving into a new community, which is what brings me here. :)

I don't think you need an actual furniture designer/builder for something like this. Any finish carpenter should be able to frame up something like this on site relatively easily.

Suzette Sherman Design: "Room & Board table 48" long with room at the end for someone to slide in and out of the banquette. Your contractor can custom fit the depth. I have had very small clients and very tall clients and it makes a difference in the final dimensions. It's simply a bolster on a seat pad to be the best price possible. The wood seat part is supported by the two end walls necessary for a clean look and feel. It also eliminates the cost of a cabinet below. They are costly and really aren't deep enough to store much anyway."

Norcon Home Improvements: "We built this custom banquette to
utilize the corner space of a small kitchen. The smooth and straight leather
cushions compliments beautifully the white moldings of the base. The seats flip
open to allow storage space beneath. This used a piano hinge running full length. The stay that you see is a reversible flap stay from Richelieu." CityLiving Banquettes & Booths: You can have a banquette or booth made by CityLiving Banquettes & Booths in Chicago. They ship nationwide and
