Small Bathroom Decorating Ideas?

I have a small bathroom that off like to transform into a modern spa-like space. I enjoy farmhouse, bohemian & industrial accents. I need help with choosing a lighting fixture, a mirror, and what kind of shelving/storage to use over the toilet. Open to ideas!

With current light, possibly... The circle's leather strap attaches to a rustic metal frame ending in a charming buckle / while the Farmhouse Square is accented by real twine rope.

Originally I was thinking of going with a larger mirror the width of the sink. I like the first light fixture you posted. The sink is 30” wide, so maybe do a 3 bulb? Hadn’t considered whitewashing the shelves, but I love the distressed look. I originally put the wooden shelves in to give it some warmth, but I don’t think it had the effect I wanted.

I’m also a sucker for a mirror on a rope, lol

What didn't you like about the warmth of wood? if each is thicker than the counter, it could seem too heavy/ chunky. I think there are several ways they could blend in with wall color, so the size isn't noticed.

Ahhhhh, you’re right! It does bother me because it’s thicker than the counter! I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t satisfied, I thought it was the color, but it’s the thickness!

Same stain on mirror frame and shelf, and use only the bottom shelf? and do your bohemian but safe LED candle, and tiny macrame hanging?

I like canvas art because I wipe water off easily. Here's a possible scale for yours, with mirror larger than art. Art shouldn't probably be wider than the toilet. Idk if this houzz excerpt helps:

"Having lighter colors at the eyeline will help a bathroom feel clean and airy, but try balancing them with a deep color lower to the ground. This adds a sense of richness that helps keep the space from feeling too stark, without making it overwhelmingly dark. Plus, it beautifully sets off classic white fixtures."

The 3 bulb --- do you have any other lighting -- ceiling?

maybe you need that, and adding dimmer switch is good option.

    How large is the room?

A grey and bright rug.. could balance it out... well, if shelves were still a little lighter.

Choose a beautiful mirror. Mirror is one of the important beauties to focus upon in bathroom.

I ordered a larger mirror and switched out the light for a 3-light fixture. Trying to figure out now if I can sacrifice the wall storage to hang art. I like the two-tone wall idea! That bathroom looks amazing!

Here is the new mirror and light fixture (still need to patch the wall and get more bulbs!)
