You are ahead of the game with exterior insulation, that is the best spot for it.

Inside, the XPS (pink rigid) you will probably be using is your vapor retarder, so do not double it with polyethylene plastic ("Visqueen"). Taping the XPS seams is the air barrier (most important!). Better to build a 2x4 wall inside of that XPS, on houses without the exterior insul they would then put in batts in the furred-out wall. This will allow depth for electrical boxes and conduit for A/V systems. The wall needs fireblocked at the top.

Hot tip: Do not ever finish a basement until it is sure there are no water issues, and systems with redundancy are already in place.

Polystyrene foam board is an omnibus term, which includes extruded polystyrene foam board (XPS) and expanded polystyrene foam board (EPS).

Expanded has a lower R rating, so you have to use more of it. But it retains its R value while XPS loses as much as 20%.

Research that is often missed shows the importance of reducing air currents (scroll halfway) behind the foam board installed to the interior. Simply run horizontal beads of foam board glue on the wall, even if you're using fasteners to attach it.

Be sure also to insulate the rim joists similarly; I use ccspf (closed cell spray foam) in rim joists in new builds
