I occasionally see these shrubs in disturbed open areas, never in an understory. They can be up to 15' in height. Leaves are smooth, somewhat leathery, somewhat silvery and slightly thick. Leaves have no fragrance and are still on the shrubs, so somewhat evergreen ??
