Teak would be the best in my opinion. Cannot be sure on the type of wood used there.

I'd say ipe is the best wood for this. It's the lowest-maintenance wood you can get, and performs great in wet environments. It won't rot, and can last up to 75 years. It even has some natural anti-slip qualities if you use it for the floor.

@AdvantageLumber.com Would you use or consider cypress wood for a shower enclosure? Or even cedar? I’m weighing cost options and also durability. Since the pandemic— prices are extremely high on the Ipe and teak. Suggestions?

Cypress and cedar aren't nearly as durable as tropical hardwoods. You could try looking into garapa or tigerwood; both are rot-resistant and significantly cheaper than ipe.
