High Score top is finished

This pattern is called High Score by Christina Cameli. I reduced the size to make it 59"x78". I was able to use up a bunch of mostly batik scraps that I had accumulating. I forgot how much I hate working with solid black, but I had about 4 yards of it, so this was the perfect pattern. If I ever make this or a similar modern quilt, I hope I remember not to use solid black. I think a dark charcoal print that reads solid might work even better. It would certainly be easier on the eyes. I think this pattern would be great using a light background with bright accents too.

Very nice. The black sets off the brights beautifully, and is just the right color sometimes.

its really stunning and a wonderful setting for those batiks. I know what you mean about black. I avoid it whenever possible.

I love black and batiks together! It looks beautiful. I think I'll call my friend who keep offering me scraps to see if she has some batiks!

I understand about working with black but it sure does make bright fabric look good. I love Kona Cotton Jet Black but I don't use much black lately. You quilt looks nice, Lois. Take break from black now....... lol

It is lovely. I always love the look of a black background but cannot work with it myself. My OCDness cannot stand the lint LOL
