We are replacing most (but not all) of the appliances for this remodel, and the Platinum Glass refrigerator has our eye because of the handles - it's a slightly tight space, and gaining the 2.5 inches would be very helpful. It's on adjacent walls to the other appliances, but I totally understand what you mean about the blending. Appreciate the input!

I have the Cafe Platinum and love them. I posted pictures in a previous thread, here's the link: Cafe Platinum thread . I too prefer the no handles and the space savings; had it before with a Samsung and really liked it. Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks Susan - I had seen that thread and appreciated the pictures. It looks like you have the refrigerator next to a microwave - do you think the platinum glass meshes well with the stainless steel?

Yes, I think they match fine. I never even thought to compare them before, as they are all stainless steel. The Platinum is really glass over a highly brushed stainless and the door glass edge trim looks like polished stainless, and the door sides are the brushed stainless without the glass. It is just a little more brushed than my microwave.

I'm glad they were helpful. It's so hard to decide without seeing things and seeing them in your space. I was able to see the platinum at a Best Buy with a Pacific Coast center in Gernee IL on a trip while passing through so that helped me. I am very happy with both the appliances and the finish.

Thanks for this information. im looking at doing the same mixing the glass with the stainless. My question have you had any issues with the side panel that doesnt have glass with streaking or scratches?

No, the side of the doors, which are the brushed stainless without the glass are still perfect. You really never touch them, so no streaks or scratches. Because they are a vertical brushed pattern, I think it would be hard to show anything.

The sides of the refrigerator body are the typical dark gray, not stainless, but in my kitchen are hidden in the cabinetry.

Hello i read all the reviews and they have been very helpful. i just wonder about glass finish durability/ tisks of grakage especially if cleaners are wiping. any tips will be helpful.

I've had mine for two years and it looks like new. No scratches. My cleaner wipes it down every other week, not sure what she uses but it is just glass so windex would work. Because you open it by grabbing the inset edge, it really doesn't get a lot of finger prints on it . If I see some, I use a paper towel to wipe them off.

I still love mine. It always looks great, unlike my last stainless steel refrig which always had visible fingerprints. I think it's a jewel in the kitchen.

I have both of those too and am very happy with them. I got the top of the line dishwasher; I wanted the quietest since we have a great room with kitchen, so didn't want to hear any noise and we really don't. I like it so much better than my previous Bosch dw.

Yes, it does. Both have a brushed stainless steel finish, it's just the refrig has the glass on top that makes it standout as shinier.

We are planning to buy the Bosch refrigerator with glass over stainless. Pricey but beautiful. Just checking to see if anyone has the Bosch 4 door Beverage Center model. (Wine drawer is how they market it now). Thanks.
