Need help with kitchen buffet

What kind of curtains would work? I have a nice view of the backyard that i dont want to lose and love the natural light! How do I decorate the buffet? Please help....

What a beautiful outlook you have there. I suggest using Roman shades mounted above the window so they do not interrupt the view while they are stacked. Do you require insulation against cold or heat as they can be done in a block out fabric also. I did a houzz search on kitchens and put in Roman shades and there are hundreds of photos. Here's just one, but do take a look for some ideas.

Beautiful kitchen! Do you need curtains for privacy? If not...you can just do a valance or blinds that you keep up...

Thanks! No privacy needed. I like the idea of a valance but not sure what pattern/style to go with....the rest of the house is a bit more rustic.

Roman shades would be perfect. I would not do a valance. They have no purpose and look dated, IMO.

I would leave the windows and focus on decorating the buffet. Do you like symmetrical or asymmetrical? I would definitely bring in some colours. If its more a country vibe you're going for, perhaps coppers and turquoise? Maybe a giant vase of hydrangeas.

Thank you all for the help! Think I'll do with roman shades... Just gotta figure out what design/colors now! :) I would love to style the buffet with decor but have no idea where to start....

A friend has the most fantastic looking roller blinds made of white, slightly textured, opaque material. They let the light in but block the view, that's the view INTO the house, .ie. while away. It's called "home team advantage" a phrase I learned from C.S.I New York :- )
