Our contractor used Jeld-Wyn entry doors for patio and back garage door. After 2 years, they both failed miserably. Seems they absorbed water at bottom panel, and first cold day in the teens (happens a lot in Maine) the bottom expanded enough to prevent door from closing once opened. Not fun during a blizzard. Our contractor (Maine Coast Construction, Camden) claimed warranty didn't cover doors as they weren't painted right away. So, a coat of paint is all it takes to keep these doors from failing? Please.........give me a break. We will NEVER, EVER use this product agiain.
