Laundry Room Plumbing Design Dilemma

We are going to remodel our laundry room and see that many front-loading washer and dryers have a shelf above them, and tight-fitting walls on either side. Can you service these easily? How are they installed or removed when they are surrounded by other surfaces?

If you're remodeling then I would allow for room to move the machines around when servicing is needed.

I've seen those photos of tightly fitted washer and dryer but it's not practical.

Make it easier for yourself or the repair person.
